When Spring came, she found the earth cold and bare, but she soon changed all that, and by the time Summer arrives, the world is a very different place. It is a green world now, green leaves on the trees, green grass in the fields, green plants crowding in the hedges and flowers opening everywhere.
夏天伴着它那温暖的明媚阳光而来，使我们想起了各种美好的事情：在农村的度假，野餐活动，还有那翻晒干草时节的聚会……
The days are long and the nights are short, for the sun gets up early and goes to bed late in sunny June. It is one of the best and brightest months in the year. Birds sing from sunrise till long after sunset.
白天长了，夜晚短了；在明媚的六月里，太阳早早起床，很晚才入睡。这是一年里最美好最有生机的一个月。鸟儿从太阳升起一直唱到太阳落山以后才停息。
As night falls, one after another the birds stop their singing, and after a few last sleepy sounds, put their heads under their wings to rest for an hour or two before beginning again. They do not all sleep, however. When other birds are silent, comes a soft cry, then, after a few moments, another, louder this time; and soon the nightingal pouring out his wonderful song.
Not only at night does the nightingale sing. On almost every warm day in early June, the little brown bird sings away in the roads and woods, but, as all the other birds are also singing at the same time, we do not notice his voice so much. It is at night, when he has the field all to himself, that we hear the nightingale at his best.
当别的鸟儿静下来之后，传来一阵柔和的叫声；再过一会，声音大了起来，很快，夜莺尽情地唱起它那奇妙的歌。
Do you know what I like?Summer vacation.I like it because I can go outside to play.If it rains,I can stay inside and play checkers.And this summer my family may go to Beijing,because we have not been there yet.
Do you know what I don"t like? I don"t like homework during summer vacation."This is so difficult,"I complain.But once I begin to do it,I always stop complaining.I just try to finish it quickly so I can have a good time for the next two months!

It was the first day of our summer holiday. All of us were very happy. Why? Because we have one months to do things we love to do. We are free. Although we have some homework. But we can finish them in several days. And the rest time we can make good use of. My god! We have been very tired after hard studying. In summer holidays, I want to have full sleep and eat good food in order to replenish myself. Last but not the least, I will have a good rest.
It is true that summer is hot, very hot. But the wicked summer sun is nothing to me, for I don"t usually go out. What I like to do best during the long summer vacation is to stay in my own little room and read. I love to read, but during the school year I could hardly find a free moment for reading. Endless assignments press down upon me like a mountain. I feel confined and imprisoned. Once the summer vacation comes, however, I have all the time in the world to read and read and read. I read everything I want to read. I read to my heart"s content. My room maybe small, and the sun maybe hot, but I"m free, I"m happy, I"m really living! Oh, how I love summer!

Not only is summer a hot season but also diseases are apt to happen. To us it is neither comfortable nor safe.If we do not wish to get sick, we must pay attention to the following sanitary ways in summer.Both fresh air and clean food are indispensable to us.We must try our best to get (obtain) them.We should take at least one bath every day.Don"t wear dirty clothes.
In conclusion, if we can carry out the above mentioned rules, we will neither get sick nor suffer pain.
My holidays This summer, I was very happy. Although I didn"t go out to travel. But my friends and me to a nursing home to help old people.In a nursing home, we introduce myself after, began to work for the old people. First of all, we first points groups. Some go to sweeping the floor, others to help old people back on, some with old people, and my sorrows and other friends to help the old man sun wash the quilt.We started, we use the washing powder on the old people on the quilt, rub with the brush and rub, very tired. 我的假期生活这个暑假,我非常开心.虽然我没有出去旅游。但是我和朋友们到养老院去帮助老人们。到了养老院,我们自我介绍了后,就开始为老人们做事了。首先,我们先分了组。有的去扫地,有的去帮老人们捶背,有的陪老人们解闷,而我和其他的朋友帮老人晒洗被子。我们开始了,我们用洗衣粉洒在老人们的被子上,用刷子搓了又搓,很累。我体会到了妈妈的辛苦。接着,我们就晒被子了。我们在养老院待了一个下午,和老人道别后,我决定以后多帮父母做家务。
Summer can be very hot in southern Taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too.
So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

This is my summer vacation. I intend to finish the operation. Then, take a look at China"s famous novel. Look at some day. Of course, also want to play with the computer, watch TV. Above all, I wanted to help my mother with housework. I also wished to read many hooks which my teachers had recommended. However, at home, my mother would never let me do anything. She completely deprived me of sharing her work. As soon as I opened a book to read,she would sit down beside me ask me about all kinds of things at the college. To please her,I told her one thing after another,and soon I forgot all about books. Even when I was actually reading,she would, now then,insist that I should eat an egg or drink a cup of tea. When I left home at the end of the vacation, not a thing in my plan had been carried out. But I felt very happy. I believed more deeply than before in the old saying: Home, sweet home. There’s no place like home!
