Generation gap between parents and children
Nowadays , there are more and more misunderstanding between parents and
children which is so- called generation gap . It is estimated that (75 percentages
of parents often complain their children\"s unreasonable behavior while children
usually think their parents too old fashioned).
Why have there been so much misunderstanding between parents and children?
Maybe the reasons can be listed as follows . The first one is that ( the two generations,
having grown up at different times, have different likes and dislikes ,thus the disagreement often rises between them) . Besides(due to having little in common to talk about , they are not willing to sit face to face ) . The third reason is (with thepace of modern life becoming faster and faster , both of them are so busy with their work or study that they don\"t spare enough time to exchange ideas ).To sum up ,the main cause of XX is due to ( lake of communication and understanding each other) .
It is high time that something were done upon it. For one thing (children should
respect their parents ).On the other hand ,( parents also should show solicitue for

to play , arouse your enthusiasm for work, and help you overcome

been a greatly serious problem . lots of plants trees corps are
destroyed by bad air .many fish die of poisonous water . thousands
of people die from eating poisoned fish or breathing in gas . therefore ,
environmental pollution should be responsible for these diseases
that are disabling ,or bringing death not only to human beings ,
but also to wild life .)
from above ,we can find that the reasons why (environment are polluted
more and more seriously) are as follows.
the primary reason ,I think , is (the reason of harmful substances into
environment . for example ,to prevent insects ,farmers make use of great
amounts of insecticides, so as to have bumper harvests . however ,they
pollute air ,water and land ).
second,(the gas coming from the car engines and factories also make
environment polluted badly ).
the third reason actually is (the result of a growing population in
the world . everyday , so much litter and waste are poured out from

the significance for (controlling pollution ) noted that it\"s high
time that more effective measures should be taken .
therefore ,(new laws should be passed to limit the amount of pollutants

These days we often hear that (our living conditions are getting more and more serious because of the destruction of our environment ).It is common that (many trees and animals are near extinction, and the all-important food chain has been destroyed .).
Why does such circumstance occur in spite of social protects? For one thing ,(the population of the world is increasing so rapidly that the world has been so crowded. ).For another,(the overuse of natural resources has influenced the balance of natural ecology ). What is more , since ( the industrial revolution ) ,it is natural
that (a great number of factories have been springing up like mushrooms .The smoke and harmful chemicals released from factories also pollute the environment ).
To solve the problem is not easy at all ,but is worthying .We should do something such as (planting more trees , equipping cars with pollution-control devices and learning to recycling natural resources )to improve the present situation ,and i do believe everything will be better in the future .
Haze is air pollution in which is mixed up with dust, smoke and other dry particles ,and it obscure the clarity of the sky and interacts with the natural environment.

This kind of air pollutant come from a variety of natural and manmade sources. Natural sources can include windblown dust, and soot from wildfires. Manmade sources can include motor vehicles, and industrial fuel burning, and manufacturing operations. The one of the main cause that touches off haze is manufacturing operations. Many factories were over measure produced the smog that had over the standard and the smog seriously influence the air become air pollution.
这种空气污染物来自各种自然和人为来源。天然来源可以包括风沙、烟尘从森林大火。人为来源可以包括机动车辆、工业燃料燃烧和制造业务。触动了烟雾的主要原因之一是制造业务。许多工厂测量产生的烟雾对标准和烟雾严重影响空气成为空气污染。
通过校外教学实践，我发现一些学生不喜欢上英语课。他们在英语课上总是眉头紧锁，满脸疑惑。尽管竭尽全力想学会，可是学习效果不佳。
针对这一情况我展开了调查。调查以问卷形式进行。调查对象是我认课的九年制学校八年级学生。问卷内容：（1）你们想学好英语吗？（2）你们喜欢上英语课吗？（3）你们喜欢或不喜欢的原因是什么？
统计分析如下：想学好的占93%。喜欢上英语课的占41%，一般占19%，不喜欢的占40%。愿意学英语的原因归纳如下： ①英语是国际通用语。中国加入世贸，英语更显重要。②学习英语是时尚。③英语是就业的通行证，是未来生存的需要。④机会是留给有准备的人，多学一些知识，将来选择的机会多些。⑤英语是升入高等学校的考试学科，学好具有优势，有成就感。不愿意学习英语的原因：①英语学的多，用的少，缺少语言环境。②英语学习枯燥，缺少生趣。③教学手段和方法单一，讲的多，练的少。④不喜欢老师，老师与学生交流的少。批评多，欣赏少。
由调查可知，几乎所有的学生都有学好英语的欲望，这是老师教英语的意义和动力所在。可是只有不到一半的学生喜欢上英语课，这引起了我的震惊和深深思考。这不容乐观，也不能说我们的英语教育很成功。未来社会，英语是与世界交流的桥梁和纽带，是交际的润滑剂。除学生学习主动性不强，智力差异，基础薄弱等原因外，教师方面也有至关重要的因素：①教师要有渊博的知识。②要教会学生学习的方法。③要给学生创造学习英语、使用英语的环境。④教师要学会欣赏学生，建立起学生学习英语的自信心。⑤有浅入深，层层深入，化难为易。⑥使用多种手段，运用多媒体现代教学手段，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。⑦老师善于、乐于与学生交流，对学生进行情感教学。
针对这种现状，我首先在创设情境方面下工夫，让学生喜欢学英语。
从这次调查及实践中，使我认识到教师的教学是艺术，教师是神圣的，教师是艰辛的。教师想上好一堂课，需要付出的不仅仅是时间，需要付出情感，付出智慧，付出爱心，付出……情景教学只是微不足道的一点研究，“让学生能喜欢你，喜欢上你的课”，这是我在教育生涯中研究的永恒主题。
怎么学好英语是困扰很多中学生的问题，中学生在英语学习中经常由于各种原因而导致英语笔试和口语都学不好，即使很努力英语成绩也上不去。不是因为没有学习计划，死记硬背搞题海战术，就是学习计划或者辅导资料不适合自己，再或者是缺乏有效的指导，更多的是因为对英语缺乏兴趣。存在这些问题，中学生该如何去解决才能学好英语呢?
一、培养对英语的兴趣
要想学好英语，首要的是由对英语的兴趣。闲暇时，听听英文歌曲，跟着哼唱;订一份英语报纸，认真的阅读等，都能培养学生对英语的兴趣与自信。尤其是长期阅读英语报纸，令学生们不再害怕密密麻麻的英语单词。有条件的同学，还可看一些适合自己的英文电影(字幕最好用英文)，这也是广大中学生最喜欢的英语学习方式之一。
二、培养良好的学习习惯：(学会复习)
中小学生课业繁多，尤其是高中生，不能合理地分配自己的学习内容。此时不妨专门安排一个夜晚(每周一天)重点复习英语。复习时，可根据课上已讲内容，系统归纳出知识点，反复回顾以加强记忆。复习时，注意采用“关联记忆法”，将内容相似、容易混淆在一起的语法点单词一道复习。由于容易搞错，因此学生在复习时会下意识地着重记忆其区别，便又加强了复习的效果。另外，切忌复习笔记时只看不写。中学生们往往复习笔记时用这个方法，初中尚可，但到了高中笔记多了起来，密密麻麻，难以持久，实际效果不好。
三、具体学习方法：(加强词汇、语法、听力、阅读和口语能力)
背诵词汇，切忌死记硬背，要找到适合自己的方法，利用谐音也可以，利用音标也可以，总之只要能够帮助自己记忆的都可以应用到学习中去。学习语法，首先要学会记下相应的例句。很多学生往往不抄老师写的例句，只顾老师写下的语法点，这是不对的。语法知识往往不是直观的，有的时候甚至令人难以理解或者无法加以应用。这时，抄下几个例句会帮助你理解语法点，运用语法点。考试时有助于做选择题。毕竟实例更容易记忆。要养成经常听听力的好习惯。阅读能力也是一种十分重要的能力，在高考中的地位也日益凸显。下面有几个方法：
(1)订阅杂志或报纸。基础差一点的课订购如《英语学习报》的报纸;基础好一点的课订购杂志如《英语沙龙》。
(2)做一定量的阅读理解题。第一，做题一定要持之以恒，每天要坚持做一篇。第二，要认真、细致，不能图快。要尽量把握文章大意，猜出生词的意思，尽量在做完后翻阅词典。
(3)注记积累生词，将它们分类记在本子上，平时记得翻一下，用它们造几个句子，充分扩大词汇量，令阅读变得更轻松。
至于练好口语，首先必须在养成听录音的习惯下进行。刚开始时，跟着磁带一句一句地读，注意听声音，尽量模仿得好一些。接着，开始一段一段跟读，刚开始时会有些困难，但要坚持下去，一点点跟上磁带的速度，最好经常和他人对话，不要怕犯错。
坚强是人软弱时最有效的安慰，人不思进取时最有效的自救。有时坚强是一种美丽，坚强的人是值得钦佩的。有一件事像刀子刻在心上一般让我铭记。
小学三年级时，我的英语成绩名列前茅，英语课上叱咤风云，让英语不好的同学见了脸红。因为这个原因，英语辅导班的老师让我去参加英语大赛。刚听到消息的我精神抖擞，觉得知己是“成功人士”，别提多高兴了。
考试前，我精心复习，作业，试卷，拓展题一项不落。我一头扎进书山题海，日以继夜地奋斗。可到了考试那天，考场里人山人海，我以前从未见过这样的场面，吓得要晕过去了。我拿到试卷，心里七上八下的，豆大的汗珠雨点一般倾巢而出。拿着笔的右手止不住地颤抖着，生怕题目太难，害怕时间不够……虽然我在心中使劲地鼓励自己：只是一次平常的小测试，你能行的……但是我似乎把以前学的一切都忘记了，脑子被洗过般一片空白！这下我真的绝望了，顿时觉得不祥的事情围绕着我，像千百个幽灵在嘲笑我一样：“你个大笨蛋！大傻瓜！”……我似乎看到了家长的怒容，老师无奈的叹息。当听到了其他人轻松流畅的写字声时，我快要抓狂了！
果然，满满一张纸的上榜名单没有“英语达人”黄予欣的名字，消息如野火般传遍班级的每个角落，刚进教室的我就马上感觉到将要发生什么。而且我也知道，我的对手们正等着看我的笑话呢！不知道该用什么词形容我当时的心情：深深的失望，巨石般压在心底的惭愧，还有一触即发的暴躁……总之，我似乎丧失了所有的英语技能和学习信心。
从此以后，我开始衰落了，视一切英语老师，英语同学为仇敌，发誓不做任何英语作业。记得有一天上课回来，见家里没人，便把书包一扔，打开电脑，准备“大开杀戒”。忽见书桌上有一张纸条“女儿，妈妈知道你能把英语学好，但你必须认真对待每一次考试和作业。宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来，遇到挫折又怎样呢？上前一步去迎战困难，打败困难！你要学会坚强，人不是因为美丽才坚强，而是因为坚强而美丽！”
是呀，在困难面前，坚强是一种生存的技能，是一种智慧的表现，是一种坚韧的见证。有时候，坚强是胜利的利刃，为你斩断荆棘；坚强是奋斗的羽翼，帮你撑起晴空；坚强是永恒的道路，伴你一生长行。坚强，真是一种美德。
终于，我再去考试，用汗水和艰辛见证了“一份耕耘，一份收获”。我用坚强为自己争了一口气。

刚上五年级的时候，妈妈为我换了一个新的英语班，原因是，这次的英语考试我才拿到了刚刚及格的分数——60分。在这个英语班上，我每天都战战兢兢，如履薄冰。整天想着怎么让爸妈高兴，让老师欢心，每天的作业都完成的很好，可的到的夸奖总是很少。“学英语到底有什么用？”我从心里问自己？“难不成我将来真的会出国留学什么的吗？既然这样，为什么
不学日语，法语，德语，俄罗斯语……偏偏让我们学英语？”
就这样，我在新的英语班，胡老师家学了三个学期的英语。最后，得到的分数却让我不敢相信——94分！从60分转眼间就进步到了94分！刚拿到卷纸时，我还以为我自己看花眼了。3个月，34分，3个月我整整进步了34分啊！
这个功劳应该给谁呢？百分之十是妈妈的督促，百分之四十是我的努力，百分之五十就是胡老师的严格！
俗话说的好，严师出高徒嘛！虽然她有时是严厉了一些，不过，有一点不可否认，那就是胡老师让我们做的每一件事都是为了我们好，难道，不是吗？

光阴似箭，日月如梭！转眼间一个学期又过去了！我开始从小学到中学，又从中学一学期一学期的过去！我现在上初二了已经过去了一个上学期，还有一个下学期在加一个9年，一转眼一个中学又过去了！
我这学期的期末考试，考得不算太好四门主课都是120分满的！我的英语得了61分没有及格，语文考了95分，数学考了99分，感觉好可惜。我的数学老师说我不马虎的话在得两分就能过100了！相对来说我的物理成绩让我很吃惊！因为它是我四门主课里最好的一科！但是在想想英语，哎······真愁的慌！原先我在初一的时候，英语是学的最好的！可是因为我们英语老师的一点小缘故，我们换了英语老师，可能我对这个老师讲课的方式不怎么理解的原因，英语才得这点分的吧！
所以我在这个寒假期间，一定要好好的学好英语！

《突破英语词汇》一书介绍了英语的学习方法，最重要的是掌握英语词汇，正如书中前言所讲，词汇维系着语音和语法，是语言大厦的建筑基石，是学习效果和教学质量的试金石。一种语言的掌握，听、说、读、写的熟练运用，其基本是掌握一定的词汇量。随着英语词汇量的增加，其学习兴趣也会越来越浓厚。
我在想说一说我当初学习英语时的一些感受，初中时，我们的英语老师对我们要求非常严格，要求我们每篇课文的单词必须熟练掌握，并且随时在课堂上进行默写。同样，每篇课文亦要做到熟练背诵，老师在课堂基本上在要抽查背诵一遍。可以说当时的英语学习是强制性的，虽然当时有些不情愿，甚至是有敌对情绪，但是随着学习的深入，后来感觉英语学习也不是那么难写、难背，学习的兴趣也在慢慢的增长。当然，老师也教我们一些学习方法。
《突破英语词汇》一书中所介绍的英语的一些学习方法，其实我当初也运用过，只不过没这么多，没这么系统。英语词汇的学习和掌握，其实学习的方法是非常重要的，它能加快我们记忆的速度，在脑海中会形成一个体系；可以做到经久不忘。
小学生学习英语，由于其年龄的原因，对学习的一些东西还不能做到融会贯通，其学习的方法主要还是靠强制记忆学习。这种方式在小学生学习的初期还行，因为小学生对新事物本身具有一种好奇心，但是随着学习的深入，词汇量的增多，如果单纯的依靠强制学习，其记忆掌握词汇的难度势必加大，学习的兴趣亦会降低。这就是有些孩子在学习英语的初期还可以，而到后来不行的原因。
《突破英语词汇》一书出版的非常好，也非常及时。其中的一些学习方法，可能教课老师也会，但可能不会这么系统。书中介绍的词汇记忆方法，它把一些相关联的词汇穿成一条链，方便了小学生的掌握和记忆。如月份，如果一个月份一个月份的单独记忆就会耗费较多的精力，而如果联想起来记忆就会容易很多，而且掌握的也扎实。对小学生而言，一条链一条链的记忆，势必比一个词一个词的记忆要容易的多，而且掌握的要扎实的多，对学习英语兴趣的提高也会十分有益。
总之，小学生学习英语，掌握一定的学习方法固然十分重要。但是更重要的还是要努力，多听、多说、多读、多记、多写。参照书中英语词汇学习的一些方法，总结出属于自己的一些学习方法，只有这样，英语的学习才会变成一件有兴趣的事。
