Position: Recruiting manager of the testing department
Duty: This August I found a new job which is a recruiting manager of a famous software company. Because of the operation of our company is providing world-class IT solutions to global clients. So every position requires good English communication skills including mine. In this job I lead a hiring team and be responsible for supporting staffer needs of the testing department. The latter half of the year is the busiest period, because many new projects have been processing. Almost all the project teams are short of hands. For expedite the recruiting progress, I also take on the role with responsibility for ADOBE and EMC (clients’ company). Define the job and recruiting action plan. Choosing resumes, interviewing with candidates and commending qualified candidates to attend client’s final test are my daily grind, to most effectively coordinate with staffing processes. If the candidates pass the final test, we will announce correlative dept to transact procedure. Implement testing department staffing processes to ensure compliance. Up to last month our recruiter team has hired seventy eight qualified staffers including I found the nineteen engineers.

针对这一情况我展开了调查。调查以问卷形式进行。调查对象是我认课的九年制学校八年级学生。问卷内容：（1）你们想学好英语吗？（2）你们喜欢上英语课吗？（3）你们喜欢或不喜欢的原因是什么？
统计分析如下：想学好的占93%。喜欢上英语课的占41%，一般占19%，不喜欢的占40%。愿意学英语的原因归纳如下： ①英语是国际通用语。中国加入世贸，英语更显重要。②学习英语是时尚。③英语是就业的通行证，是未来生存的需要。④机会是留给有准备的人，多学一些知识，将来选择的机会多些。⑤英语是升入高等学校的考试学科，学好具有优势，有成就感。不愿意学习英语的原因：①英语学的多，用的少，缺少语言环境。②英语学习枯燥，缺少生趣。③教学手段和方法单一，讲的多，练的少。④不喜欢老师，老师与学生交流的少。批评多，欣赏少。
由调查可知，几乎所有的学生都有学好英语的欲望，这是老师教英语的意义和动力所在。可是只有不到一半的学生喜欢上英语课，这引起了我的震惊和深深思考。这不容乐观，也不能说我们的英语教育很成功。未来社会，英语是与世界交流的桥梁和纽带，是交际的润滑剂。除学生学习主动性不强，智力差异，基础薄弱等原因外，教师方面也有至关重要的因素：①教师要有渊博的知识。②要教会学生学习的方法。③要给学生创造学习英语、使用英语的环境。④教师要学会欣赏学生，建立起学生学习英语的自信心。⑤有浅入深，层层深入，化难为易。⑥使用多种手段，运用多媒体现代教学手段，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。⑦老师善于、乐于与学生交流，对学生进行情感教学。
针对这种现状，我首先在创设情境方面下工夫，让学生喜欢学英语。
从这次调查及实践中，使我认识到教师的教学是艺术，教师是神圣的，教师是艰辛的。教师想上好一堂课，需要付出的不仅仅是时间，需要付出情感，付出智慧，付出爱心，付出……情景教学只是微不足道的一点研究，“让学生能喜欢你，喜欢上你的课”，这是我在教育生涯中研究的永恒主题。
大学的最后的一个学期，我来到一家翻译公司实习。我应聘的职务是英语校对，刚开始我对这个工作不是很了解，以为就是检查检查错误就可以了，然而就是这份我认为很简单的工作，我却在在实习期内出现了不少的错误。 在进入公司之前，我们都是经过了笔试的。一段英译中，一段中译英。或许是因为没有在学校做过这方面的训练，再者，词汇量严重不足，第三，计算机操作不熟练，这两篇小稿子我做了得有两个小时。进入公司后，经理告诉我，其实当时来面试的人中，比我水平高的有很多，计算机能力比我强的也很多，可选了我是因为我的性格。因为我能在一个陌生的环境稳稳地耐得住性子做两个小时。以下就是我在实习期间的工作情况。 一、工作的性质需要我们仔细、认真并且耐心 我在几个月的实习期间被经理批评过多次，因为每次的成稿总会有一些小小的错误。我就把我经常出错的地方、原因写到一张纸上，在每次交给经理稿子之前都再仔细检查一下有没有再出现这些错误，确认无误后，才把稿子给她。这样一来，以后就很少出错了。我总结出，无论以后做什么工作都要仔细认真的完成，哪怕还有上百件事情堆在身后，好好完成一件比仓促完成十件好得多！ 二、英语知识的积累 刚开始，经理会发给我们一些以前校过的稿子，让我们译文原文对着看。因为我们公司主要是做石油机械设备这部分，相对来说，懂这方面的比较少，而且偏老年化，所以我们公司稿子都是北京一些高校的老师教授翻的。真的很庆幸能够看到老教授们翻得稿子，这样我在不管是用词还是组句方面都能学到很多。真是受益匪浅啊！而且我们每人都有台电脑，网络资源十分便利，稍有不懂便可上网查询。 再后来，如果有比较简单的小稿子，经理会先发给我们，让我们试着翻。等翻译翻完之后，我们拿自己的和翻译翻的相对比，缺陷不足显露无疑。学到知识的同时，也添加了继续努力的信心。 三、计算机操作能力提高 因为我们公司还负责排版，就是说，译文原文校对完之后，按照原文格式调整好，使其尽量保持原文面貌。我本来计算机操作就不熟练，打字也不快，这样一来，我有些工作也许会因为我的操作不熟练而拖延完成。第一个月没少吃了计算机操作不熟练的苦。以前在学校只知道word文档、幻灯片，却没有实际操作过。而现在我们每天都要同word文档、powerpoint、excel打交道，此外还有pdf，cad制图。好在我们公司的排版人员都很友善，有不懂我们都可以向她们请教。 四、增加了对未来的信心 从我开始学习英语以来，我就梦想着有一天可以做翻译。这一行业在我心中一直是很神圣的。所以我很珍惜这份实习工作，因为我感觉离梦想越来越近了，只要我坚持不懈的努力。 “千里之行，始于足下”，通过这些月短暂而又充实的实习，我认为对我走向社会起到了一个桥梁的作用，过渡的作用，是人生的一段重要的经历，也是一个重要步骤，对将来走上工作岗位也有着很大帮助。向他人虚心求教，遵守组织纪律和单位规章制度，与人文明交往等一些做人处世的基本原则都要在实际生活中认真的贯彻，好的习惯也要在实际生活中不断培养。这一段时间所学到的经验和知识大多来自领导和干警们的教导，这是我一生中的一笔宝贵财富。这次实习也让我深刻了解到，在工作中和同事保持良好的关系是很重要的。做事首先要学做人，要明白做人的道理，如何与人相处是现代社会的做人的一个最基本的问题。对于自己这样一个即将步入社会的人来说，需要学习的东西很多，他们就是最好的老师，正所谓“三人行，必有我师”，我们可以向他们学习很多知识、道理。

WE AND OUR YELLOW RIVER: THRIVING TOGETHER
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The issue of the Yellow River has become the biggest concern of members of the Chinese peoples Political Consultative Conference. My childhood, in fact, is closely associated with the river. My father is an engineering geologist, and he used to take me with him on his trips to the hydropower stations on the river. I enjoyed those trips, especially the trip to Longyang Xia reservoir. Although ten years have passed since my visit, I can still recall the scenery; I can still recall the water I saw at the reservoir. It was pure, clean and blue, not like the water I saw in the middle reaches of the river, which had turned brown and muddy after passing through the Loess Plateau.
Once during our stay at the power station, we were caught in a thunderstorm. And when rain stopped, I could see trickles of water rolling down mountain slopes and flowing into the reservoir. It carried little mud or sand, because at that time, trees and grass still grew around the reservoir. And they protected the soil. At Longyang Xia I was struck by the beauty of nature, and as a child I wanted to stay there and to grow up with our Yellow River.
Li Bai, the Tang Dynasty poet, said praises to the flowing water in the Yellow River. He saw it as coming down from heaven and nurturing the people along her way to the sea. However, in 1997,for 330days, not a single drop of water from the Yellow River went into the sea. And droughts are not the only punishment by nature. A friend of my father"s, a university professor, is doing research on the Yellow River. According to this professor, the Yellow River will soon change its course if we allow this situation to continue. Because there is no longer enough water to carry away the silt and mud in the lower reaches of the river and the riverbed rises higher and higher each year.
We have taken too much from nature, but given back too little in return. And this is the cost of the unbalanced growth. If we had taken care of the vegetation in the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, we would still experience the river as Li Bai described it.
While the developed countries are consuming proportionally more natural resources than the rest of the world, they"ve also taken some good measures in protecting nature. And as a developing country, China can learn from them in this aspect.
Last year, when I was visiting Australia with a group of Chinese students who had won prizes in an English Skills Test, our Australian hosts invited us to join them for a horse-ride in the mountains. When I began to praise the beauty of nature, my friends told me that in this valley, there used to be a big mine and the wastewater from the mine turned everything brown. 时光如水，岁月如梭，在教育岗位上实习了一个月时间，作为一名实习生，要不断的学习、不断的进步。想达到一名合格甚至优秀的实习生，是件不容易的事。但我相信努力与自信的结晶一定是成功的。在整个学习期间，我本着对学生负责的态度尽全力做好每一件事情。怎样上好英语课，这是重点，也是一名作为英语教师应必须做好的第一步。
（一）教学经验的积累
作为实习教师，工作经验比较欠缺，除了探索教学外，我不断的向资历深厚的教师虚心请教。并以听课的形式到课堂上去学习好的教学方法与经验，来丰富自己的实际教学能力。学习优秀教师的教学教法，同时提出自己的观点与看法，来解开一些教学工作的迷团。不断更新自己的知识，养成学习习惯。不断吸取知识甘露。丰富自己知识营养，使自己的教学不断提高并走向成熟。虚心听取老师的意见，自我总结，找出不足。另外，虚心听取学生的意见，融入到学生。
（二）合格教师的必经之路
在指导教师及学生的建议下，我积极参与讨论、设计教案等等。使我在原有的基础上不断提高，教案详略得当、重难点突出、讲解清晰、教态自然。在讲解词汇和句子时，选择的例子有说服力，深受教师的好评。当然在刚开始讲课时，由于经验不足和临场应变能力不强，课上会出现一些诸如：“讲解重要不突出，讲课顺序不清”师生配合不够默契和板书条理不强等问题。针对出现这些问题时，指导教师要求我多听课。并面对面的指出我的不足之处。帮助我修改教案，纠正学生不正确的语言语调、节奏感，选择有说服力的例子，解释各种语言现象，以便达到更好的教学，当学生有疑难时，热心解答、帮助差生。
成绩与不足
将近四十天的教育教学和班级管理实习，我们全体实习生严格按照《xx师范大学实习生管理条例》和教育实习大纲的要求，并严格执行陇西二中相关的教学制度，认真听取指导老师的建议，在三十多天的时间里，我们的教学方法有了明显的改进，教学经验有了明显的提高，也获得了很多从书本上无法学到的东西，迈出了走向工作岗位的第一步，从教学工作以及所取得的成绩，班主任工作纪律等各方面来说，这次教育实习是成功的，受到陇西二中全体师生的高度赞扬和评价。
这次教育实习给我们的收获很大。我们初步掌握了从事教育教学工作的基本技能，学会了对学生进行思想教育的方法和手段，也深深体会了做一名光荣的人民教师尤其是从事中学教育的一线教师的艰辛和不易，深感肩上的责任重大，对教师这一神圣的职业有了更深刻的理解和认识，体验到了教师的苦乐酸甜，为我们以后的教师之路打下了坚实的基础。
同时，我们仍从在一些问题和不足。如课前准备不足，教材内容的熟练程度不够，理解不够透彻，教学效果不是很理想；也存在专业知识功底不够扎实，教学技巧运用不够熟练等问题，需要进一步改进。
一、战略准备
早在六年级开始前的那个暑假，“小升初”的战役就已经拉开了序幕。之所以称之为“战役”，就因为其历时之久、准备时间之长、竞争之激烈而备受关注。媒体上、学校里和家长的言谈话语都有意无意地告诉我：“小升初”不是那么轻而易举达到理想目标的。所以先从意识上知道了它的重要性和严峻性，为我考入理想学校铺上了第一级台阶。
在三年级我和妈妈从美国回来后，妈妈的同事告诫她：现在抓紧还来得及。所谓“抓紧”，就是上个好小学，尽早学奥数。大家共识“小升初”着重考察奥数和英语，爸爸妈妈和我一起分析了我的长处和特点，制定了我的小升初战略??小学毕业后要上好中学的实验班，不能听天由命，命运要掌握在自己手中。应发挥我的英语特长，但必须继续学习不间断才能保持优势。到我五年级的时候，妈妈忽然意识到我的英语虽好，但尚缺乏能拿出来作证明的东西。感谢奥数网，引领我在短时间内即轻松高分通过了公英二级，又在董静老师生动、有趣、优美、富于爱心的指导下，顺利夺得了北京市科技英语创意大赛一等奖，并取得了第三名的好成绩。同时我也以高分通过了公英三级。这为我进入重点中学打下了决定性的基础。此时，妈妈开始考虑我的升学目标，她会经常跟我讨论这一话题，介绍她获得的信息，倾听我的想法。当我了解到人大附中是最好的中学之一时，我不禁怦然心动。

二、确定目标，抓住机会，战术得当
三月份，小升初进入紧锣密鼓的阶段，各学校的报名纷纷启动。我根据自身的情况定出了目标：朝人大附中冲刺、101和八一为第二梯队，北达资源和交大附中保底。北达资源是第一个开始接受报名的，三月中旬在收到我的简历后的第三天就通知我妈妈去签约，这给了我一个非常有益的信号，提示我符合重点中学的录取条件；因为交大附中离家近，我参加了它的培训班学习，共有三次考试，我两次考年级第一，一次第二，总评第一。
过完五一，交大附中就通知我课改实验班和英语实验班均录取了我。保底学校已经搞定，但一直没有接到其余三所学校的通知，我们全家便陷入了焦急地等待之中，又是奥数网及时给我们提供了信息来源，妈妈几乎每天都在奥数网上反复查阅，冷静地分析各种信息，了解小升初的进展和动向，作出正确的决断。为了准备人大附中的考核，我分别参加了奥数网的“重点中学英语实验班”、“重点中学面试班”、“人大附中英语实验班面试班”的学习，英语老师仍然是我最喜欢的董静老师，更幸运的是我认识了教数学的林老师，他的阳刚、诙谐给我耳目一新。
五月中旬，终于等来了人大附中通知我去参加“活动”，当时我已做好了充分的准备，我进入教室后，稳住情绪，以“做好平时作业”的心态来完成各项内容，其中含有数学和英语。数学较难，后来才知道都是竞赛题。但英语可是我的强项，我暗下决心充分演好我的拿手好戏。英语题较容易，但我仍不敢轻敌，爸爸常告诫我，凡事一定要遵循伟大领袖毛主席的英明教导：“战略上要藐视敌人，战术上要重视敌人”。现在已摸清了“敌人的实力”，明白它并没什么可怕的，同时，也不能掉以轻心，要认真对待，我要求自己：凡是我会的要保证答对。出教室后，我挺有把握的向妈妈汇报我的英语成绩应在95分以上。我在这一 “关键时刻没有掉链子”，后来妈妈也说我这场“战斗”打得非常漂亮，它决定了我“小升初”总战役的结局。
我突出的英语终于赢得了人大附中的垂青，“活动”第二天人大附中打来电话，告诉妈妈我被英语实验班录取了。但这消息妈妈没有第一时间告诉我，而是按我们中关村三小的要求，等到交卡的前一天才告诉我。这期间我还参加了101中学的面试和八一中学的计算机测试，随后便得到了101、八一课改实验班和英语实验班的签约通知。至此，我报考的五所学校全部录取了我。爸爸妈妈在告知我上述信息后，笑问我最终选择哪个学校，我戏谑地回答：这五所学校都是好学校，一周五天，我每天去一个学校，周末再上奥数网充电。
三、优秀?幸运?差距和挑战
知道我被人大附中录取后，老师、同学、亲友均称赞我是优秀的。能被自己向往的第一目标学校录取，我当然高兴万分、兴奋异常。但是，我爸爸妈妈表现得非常冷静和低调，他们给我讲了许多古今中外成功者和失败者的故事，使我渐渐认识到我只是千千万万优秀者中的一员，在本次小升初中我更是幸运的。因为那千千万万的优秀者之中，又有多少人因为种种原因没有上成心仪的学校！我身边的例子数不胜数。我在“小升初”中是成功的，因为我付出了辛苦和努力而且很好地把握住了难能可贵的机会，使之没有付诸东流。我也意识到强中更有强中手，我看到了其他同学的长处和优势，找到了自己的差距。通过妈妈给我详细传达学而思公益讲座的内容和奥数网上的网贴，我也明确了新时期的新任务和新目标，确定了自己需要进一步加强和努力的方向，迎接新的挑战。
四、总结与感激
小升初的战役已经结束，大幕缓缓拉上。回顾走过的路，我总结出一个成功的公式，即：总量＝努力x时间。
如若把整个过程数学化，那么分两步：首先要研究、确定一个目标。目标的设定如果过高，则虚无缥缈，云里雾里，最后也把自己耽误了；如果太低，可能会造成遗憾，委屈自己。所以应该定一个够得着的目标，最好是一个跳起来够得着的目标，这也是为了将来够得更高。
第二步，确定目标后就应义无反顾地向它付诸努力。如果排除其它因素，那达到目标的努力总量则应该是一个定量。我就套用工程问题的一个公式，改为：努力x时间=总量。总量是一定的，如果你起步晚，离“小升初”的最后期限距离短，因为积不变，两个因数成反比例，则为了达到目标你就要进行更多的努力。反之，如果你动手早，时间充裕，那么你单位时间所做的努力就可缩小，细水长流、拉长战线的好处是夯实基础，上课外班不那么急功近利，你所获得的奖项、证书均是水到渠成。另外还可忙里偷闲干点自己喜欢的事情，比如：广泛读书、航模、游泳、打球、计算机、绘画，等等。
当然，我明白应该先干应该干的事，再干自己想干的事（妈妈老拿八中校长的语录教导我）。把应该干的事化作自己想干的事当然更好（如我的英语学习），但对我们十一二岁的孩子要想将所有不太喜欢干的事均化作自己想干的事却不那么容易，对我来说，在干应该干的事的同时又能干自己想干的事，不是不可能的。我喜欢阅读，古今中外名著、历史、传记、科技军事杂志均是我案头枕边卫生间的陪伴物；各种博物馆也是我经常流连忘返之处；兴趣始然小画一幅墨莲、梅花、枇杷、葡萄、山石写意、小桥流水人家也会令我陶醉其中；几个暑假，我学习并熟练掌握了四种泳姿；小学期间我还多次获得海淀区航模海模一、二、三等奖，获得计算机等级证书，低年级时还获得了电子琴演奏六级证书。
